THE ORCHID GARDEN

A special space for tributes to the most important women in our lives.
Mothers, grandmothers, nannies, teachers, friends – whoever they are, these are the women who inspire and guide us.
Also listed in The Orchid Garden are the women who have been honoured by organisations and publications in annual awards.

Lusi Lim

The Great Women Of Our Time Awards alumni
CEO & Chief Coach, Lusi Group

Quoting Vincent van Gogh’s “I dream my painting and I paint my dream”, Lusi wants to encourage everyone to “dare to dream, and dare to live that dream”. And she walks the talk by mentoring and grooming others through her coaching programmes. That’s why winning the “Most Inspiring Woman” award in 2012, held special significance for Lusi, who set up her eponymous company with the aim to inspire others to achieve their goals. “I felt very honoured,” she says. “My win has given hope to many others out there – they too can make a difference, even if they come from humble beginnings.”

Since becoming a Great Women Of Our Time Awards alumnus, more people have also started seeking her out. “Many people became more aware of the importance of soft skills in their daily life and their career. They would come to me for advice on how to understand human behaviour, and the correct way to engage and connect with others,” Lusi shares.

Looking forward, Lusi reveals, “I want to set up a Lusi Group Foundation, to provide funds for the education of needy children in developing countries. I believe education will give children a good head-start in life and equip them with the necessary mind-set and skills to succeed, and enable them to contribute to their countries.”
